Business | Big Shed Bounces Back

Big Shed, a favourite of Adelaide craft-heads city wide, recently went through some tough times, but guess what? They're back on track!

The pandemic and rising costs hit them hard, but they decided to get some help to reorganise and sort things out. It wasn't easy, but the incredible support from the local community and fellow brewers kept them going. This just goes to show how strong the craft beer community is.

They're facing challenges from the big beer companies and high taxes, but with exciting events like the Beer & BBQ Festival and Sydney Beer Week coming up, they're feeling optimistic about the future. So next time you're grabbing a beer, why not make it a local one? Cheers to Big Shed and the awesome people who support them.

Local | Last chance to visit Paddy Barry's

It's time to say goodbye to one of our top locals, Paddy Barry's just down the road from Mâché. The amazing specialty coffee roaster and café has announced its upcoming closure, remaining open until the last day of June. It's definitely sad news for many of us who have enjoyed spending time there!

Owner Jimmy Barry cited a combination of personal reasons and business challenges as the main factors behind the decision. As much as the rising cost of living and increased overheads also played a part, but Jimmy emphasised that personal reasons, including the desire for a better work-life balance, were the primary motivators for closing the cafe.

Paddy Barry's will remain open for the rest of the month, so definitely visit while you still can, and why not grab a tee or a mug to remember them by?

Food & Sustainability | Fair Seafood

Have you tried Fair Seafood yet? The brainchild of Angler's Amanda Prance and executive chef Sam Prance-Smith, is making waves in the Adelaide Central Market.

This unique retailer and kitchen boast 100% traceability on all their seafood, working with small-scale fishers to offer a sustainable and varied selection that changes with the daily catch. The menu highlights include dry-aged sashimi, "Heston-style" fish and chips, and a tempting breakfast featuring sand crab and smoked salmon.

Fair Seafood is leading the charge in responsible seafood consumption and promises an exceptional dining experience. Let us know if you give it a try!

Mâché Events

Monthly walk event

Studies show walking in nature with others can reduce stress and anxiety, increase happiness and energy levels, and strengthen social bonds.

More than enough reasons to launch a monthly walking group at Mâché, starting tomorrow June 13th. Our pre-work stroll will give members a chance to enjoy a refreshing walk and conversation with fellow dog lovers, and get some exercise and fresh air to start the day feeling energised.

Let's kickstart our mornings with some exercise, good company, and a caffeine boost!

📅 Every second Thursday of the month, starting tomorrow Thursday, June 13th

📍Meet in front of Mâché at 8:00 AM

🐕Dog owners and non-dog owners alike welcome

(P.S. This is a member-exclusive event, so if you aren't a member, why not come in for a tour tomorrow and see if you can meet some of the members and dogs you could join in the future?)
